Conservation and Masterplanning at The Hovercraft Museum

We are excited to have been appointed to lead the design team following a grant award from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to help secure the future of the world’s only museum dedicated to the hovercraft.

The Hovercraft Museum in Gosport is home to the world’s largest collection of hovercraft, including five ships on the National Register of Historic Vessels and related archive materials. The project will deliver a full master plan for the Museum’s future, detailed condition surveys of its nationally significant hovercraft collection and listed buildings, and vital legal and strategic work needed to secure a long-term lease on its historic HMS Daedalus site.

We will be leading a team including an accredited structural engineer, building services engineers, cost consultant and specialist conservators through the project as the first step to securing the long term future of the museum.
