For our summer trip this year we spent the day visiting London. First stop was an amazing tour of Westminster Abbey, kindly organised by our friend Ian Bartlett, Clerk of the Works to the Abbey. The highlight was a roof top tour to take in the sights of London and the works being undertaken on the Palace of Westminster. We got the opportunity to stand on top of one of the vaulted ceilings and to peer down through a small hole at the crowds below.

After lunch, we spent the afternoon visiting the Serpentine Pavilion and looking around the galleries, before a stroll in the sunshine through Hyde Park, past Buckingham Palace and ending with a well earned drink at Trafalgar Square.
